Find color code

Finding a color code can be quite time-consuming if you don't know where to begin. However, a color code is essential for ordering used bodywork parts. This manual contains several helpful tips to simplify finding a color code.

Kleurcode...

...on A-pillar or B-pillar

On many current models, the color code can be found on a label attached to the A-pillar. By fully opening the driver's door, you can usually find this white sticker. Then you need to look for the color code at the bottom of the label; it's usually 3 or 4 letters. This is the case with the Peugeot 307, for example.

You can also find the color code on the driver's side B-pillar; this location is also frequently used, for example, on the Peugeot 206. Here too, the code is usually displayed as 3 or 4 letters.

An exception to this are the Peugeot 107 and the Citroën C1, here the sticker is located low on the B-pillar, but on the passenger side.

...in the engine compartment

On older models like the Citroën Xantia or the Peugeot 306, you'll need to look for the "Peugeot" or "Citroën" color code in the engine compartment. Simply open the hood and look on the bodywork around the struts or on the bulkhead (the section of bodywork between the engine and the dashboard). You'll also see a 3- or 4-letter paint code, but this one is now painted separately on the paint in a different color.

...in the Citroën Xsara Picasso

The first models of the Citroën Xsara Picasso were an exception to the above. In these, the colour code was placed on the back of a flap in the dashboard. So if you can't find the colour code on the door pillar of your Xsara Picasso, this is most likely where you should look.

...mention when ordering

By specifying the required color code in your request for a body part, our staff can assist you quickly. Our online parts inventory also usually includes the color number in the description, so you can see for yourself whether we have a direct match for a door, hood, tailgate, front fender, rear fender, front bumper, rear bumper, or exterior mirror in stock.

Finally, some examples of color codes:
EYC = Gris Quartz (gray shade)
ETS = Gris Cendre (gray shade)
EZR = Gris Aluminium (gray shade)
EWP = Blanc Banquise (white variety)
EGE = Blue de Chine (blue tint)
EGJ = Blue Santorin (blue tint)
KPK = Blue Mauritius (blue tint)
KNC = Blue Amiral (blue tint)
KPU = Blue Oriental (blue tint)
EKQ = Rouge Lucifer (red tint) EKB = Rouge Vallelunga (red tint)
EXY = Noir Onyx (black variant)

The colour code not only indicates the colour, but also whether it is a solid colour, a metallic or a pearlescent paint.
